Professional qualifications:

Worked in industrial laboratories for five years. Held a class K waste water license in Illinois (site specific) for R&O Specialties in Rock Island, IL for three years. Three years working in the quality dept. of an ISO 9000 company. Two years as pretreatment operator and technician for a 10,000 gallon Electro-deposition paint operation.

Computer skills - Are many and varied. They include: Computer programming, process improvement, software development, and data entry.

Web Design - html, xhtml, css, xml, Flex 3, and graphics manipulation, specializing in handicap accessibility issues and converting old html documents to css.

Approx. seven years plumbing experience.

Education:

Attended grade school until 1975 at Sacred Heart school in Moline, IL.

Attended Alleman High School in Rock Island, IL from 1976 until 1978. Returned to school several years later to pass my G.E.D.

Experience:

August 2009 - Present -- Currently working with One Sky Media as a Software Developer on a local project.

December 2005 - February 2009 -- Worked with non-profit ACORN (Association of community organizations for reform Now) as a community organizer. Duties included community outreach, identifying and developing community leaders, and facilitating neighborhood meetings.

June 2004 through October 2005 - Worked as freelance web designer, hosted open mic night at Peabody's coffeehouse in Davenport, IA, gave music lessons and volunteered for Moveon.org's election 2004 canvass of Davenport, IA.

August 1998 through June 2004 -- Quality Inspector for paint line at R&O Specialties (an ISO 9000 company), eventually becoming pretreatment operator and technician for a 10,000 gallon electro-depostion paint operation. I ended my 6 year stay at R&O as a class K wastewater operator (final three years). Accomplishments include (but are not limited to) comprehensive study of R&O's water usage resulting in potential reductions in water usage totaling approx. 2 million gallons per year. Detailed user and maintenance manual for both ecoat paint line and R&O's waste water treatment system. Designed batch waste treatment process capable of treating approx. 6,000 gallons per day at a cost of .004 cents per gallon. R&O is located at 350 44th street Rock Island, IL (309) 793 6100

June 1997 through April 1998 -- Inventory specialist for Promotion Support Services Inc. P.S.S Inc. is located at 2832 5th Street Rock Island, IL 61201

January 1997 through June 1997 -- Rebuilt the entire plumbing system of a friends house in Moline, IL. I completely re-plumbed his entire system from below the concrete in the basement to the roof vent.

November 1991 through January 1997 -- Spent these years working for the Federal government. During that time I worked in the maintenance dept., specifically the plumbing division. I eventually became the emergency plumber and shop clerk. Responsibilities included: designating jobs to work crews, purchasing inventory, being on call 24/7 for emergencies. Worked on new installations as well as maintenance of older systems. Can read blueprints.
